April 18 through April 24th is NATIONAL VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION WEEK.
The Festival's Board of Trustees and staff realize that without the support provided by each of you (our dedicated volunteers), we would not be able to present the upcoming 2010 season, June 11 through 26.
Last year more than 200 volunteers served a combined total of 3,000 hours. LakeFest, the free season kick off weekend held in Columbia Town Center, required more than 150 volunteers, many of you working as many as 42 hours within a 72 hour period. You were willing to work extra shifts to ensure the myriad of volunteer assignments were covered. You generously supported and welcomed me as your new Volunteer Coordinator, making any challenges we faced easier to overcome.
A number of volunteers have been committed to the Festival for over 10 years and some for more than 20 years. What a tremendous achievement to have you coming back year after year!
You support the Festival and continue to display a passion for the arts and for your community. I, along with the Board and staff, want to thank each of you and express our deep appreciation for all that you do to help us bring the arts into our community each June.
We continually strive to strengthen our relationship with you and to support you in every way possible to keep you coming back year after year. We are trying to make it easier for you to participate as a volunteer and to make the assignment and scheduling process work to everyone's advantage.
We really couldn't do it without YOU (our loval volunteers) and we look
forward to another great year working with each and every one of you!
Again, thank you for your continued support.
