Howard County Center for the Arts
Begin your evening by visiting HCAC's galleries and meeting local artists in their studios. Later, enjoy a presentation on the art of collecting with local arts aficionado Rebecca Weber, followed by a performing arts showcase.

 
A Poetry & Fiction Reading & Reception  

Sunday, June 21, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Monteabaro Hall, The Horowitz Center at Howard Community College
The Little Patuxent Review literary magazine will hold a reading celebrating the publication of its sixth issue, which features work focused on an animal theme. Poets, fiction writers and essayists will read their work. A reception will follow.

A Collecting Affair II! Celebrating the Art of Collecting  

Friday, June 26, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
In 2008, A Collecting Affair! was created to promote art collecting, featuring local collectors and the artists they collect. This year the collecting tradition is continued with a slightly different focus: Artists, who also collect artwork, were asked to select pieces from their own collections and to talk about their dual viewpoints as both artist and collector.
