Kinetic Art Parade

Be a part of the Kinetic Art Parade, a vibrant, colorful procession through Columbia Town Center in celebration of the arts.

To make Kinetic art, you can use absolutely anything you want – all it has to do is move! Artists are encouraged to let their imaginations run wild! The more colorful and outlandish the moving artwork, the more attention it will draw… And the better your chances of winning one of 3 cash prizes for the best Kinetic Art entries.

Individuals and groups of all ages are invited to create an art piece that can be easily carried, pulled, ridden or driven along the parade route. Or transform yourself into art and walk in the Parade as “live art.” The route, just under a mile, begins at The Mall in Columbia’s south entrance, travels along Little Patuxent Parkway and ends in the parking lot of Sterrett Place.
