LakeFest: A Weekend of Free Events for the Whole Family

With entertainment, art exhibits, music, balloon artists, clowns, kids’ craft projects, demonstrations and a variety of activities for all ages, it’s a jam-packed event guaranteed to be fun for everyone!

The lakefront is the place to be all weekend long with exciting musical performances and daily shows by Cirque-tacular – performing stunning aerial feats and other circus favorites. Don’t miss the contortionists, illusionists, jugglers, acrobats, fire artists, and clowns plus a few surprises! Bring the whole family.

Summer Reflections  

Friday, June 12th
Once again the Festival has incorporated a community art project into its annual offering. Participants were asked to transform a 10”x10” two-dimensional wood framed mirror into three-dimensional, one-of-a-kind works of art. The mirrors will be on display and on sale at LakeFest and various venues throughout the Festival.

Saint Agnes Hospital Kinetic Art Parade  

Saturday, June 13 at 11:00 a.m.
Saturday morning kicks of at 11:00 a.m. with our 6th annual parade. Arrive early for the best parking and to stake out a prime spot along the route to see the wacky entries in the kinetic art contest, hear the bands play, laugh at the clowns, and cheer for your favorite! For more information about the contest and prizes - $1,000, $500, $250

 
PuddlePushers Kids' Arts & Crafts  

Friday, June 12 - Sunday, June 14
Children are invited to explore the fine arts with unique activities provided by KidzArt, Howard County’s celebrated advocates of child creativity. Tent adjacent to the American City Building. On-site registration for thesefree activities is suggested as space is limited. Parents must accompany children.

6th Annual Howard County Boat Float  

Saturday, June 13 at 1:00 p.m.
The competition heats up on the lake as teams test the seaworthiness of their creations in the Howard County Rotarian’s cardboard boat regatta.

This season kicks off on Wednesday, June 17 at 7:00 p.m. with a concert by The Eric Scott Band.
